Short online videos enable ideological and political education of college students,which is an important content to promote the digital construction of college education.With its short,convenient and intuitive immersive audio-visual communication,network short video has quickly become the main channel for college students to record life and information exchange,extending the field of ideological and political education in colleges and universities.While the short video is popular,its management is strong communication but weak censorship,content is heavy traffic but not quality,the purpose is pro-capital rather than mainstream and other problems are becoming increasingly prominent,which has a profound impact on the ideological behavior and values of college students.In this regard,we must analyze the generation mechanism of online short video empowering ideological and political education for college students,analyze the practical challenges brought by online short video,and explore the promotion strategy of online short video empowering ideological and political education for college students under the background of education digitization from the perspectives of strengthening the management of network chaos,strengthening the precise supply of video and attaching importance to the guidance of network consciousness.
