Opportunities in crisis:How museums practice the concept of sustainable development
The concept of sustainable development originates from human beings'reflection on their own survival crisis,and has had a profound impact on the environment,economy,society and other fields.Museums are also paying more and more attention to improving the ability of sustainable development in their own positioning and operation planning.This concept will provide the museum with a way to resolve the crisis in response to changes in the external environment,and it is also an exploration and practice of the museum's innovative self-development path.This article discusses the necessity and feasibility of museums practicing the concept of sustainable development from three aspects:the impact of the external environment on museums,museum functions and sustainable development,and the practical experience of the Palace Museum.
