Design and practice of scaffolding instruction strategy for robotic mechanism design course under the background of new engineering
Under the background of new engineering,it is urgent to cultivate a group of high-quality composite new engineering talents with strong practical ability,strong innovation ability and international competitiveness.However,the traditional teaching method,which mainly based on infusion teaching method,is difficult to meet the needs of talent training.Based on the Outcomes-based Education(OBE)method and the Scaffolding Instruction strategy,an innovatively course design method for Robotic Mechanism Design was proposed in this paper.As a learners-centered teaching strategy,the Scaffolding Instruction strategy helps students master and internalize the learned knowledge and skills through scaffolding well,together with good knowledge accumulation and skill cultivation.The five steps of the strategy were proposed and practiced along the course period simultaneously.The results showed that the course design method in this paper help students master the course knowledge and method of robotic mechanism design very well,and it is an effective teaching strategy.It provides an effective reference for other new engineering professional personnel training teaching mode.
