Construction and implementation strategy of high-quality cultivating system for tourism professionals based on core competencies
The core competency is the direction guidance for the high-quality development of tourism education in higher education institutions.A high-quality cultivating system for tourism professional talents should be established with core competency as the goal to adapt to the talent needs of the transformation and upgrading of the tourism industry and the innovative development of tourism enterprises in the new era.In response to the main problems in the cultivating of tourism professional talents in China at the present stage and the new requirements for tourism professionals in the new era,the structure and content of the core competencies that tourism professionals should possess are proposed.Based on the four-dimensional structure of'knowledge-ability-morality-health'for the core competencies of tourism professionals,the goals and requirements for high-quality cultivating of tourism professionals are clarified.The phased tasks for tourism professionals cultivating in the four-year undergraduate are proposed and the education mode and teaching methods for talent cultivating are designed,thus establishing a high-quality cultivating system for tourism professionals based on core competencies;In order to promote the achievement of high-quality talent cultivating goals,we can do eight aspects jobs in ensuring the implementation such as cultivating concepts,adhering to problem orientation,and carrying out cultivating plans.
