Experience and inspiration of Japan's data management platform for humanities and social sciences research
This study delves into the accomplished practices of Japan's data management platform for humanities and social sciences research, known as JDCat.The aim is to offer guidance and reference for the establishment of a national-level data management platform for humanities and social sciences in China.Employing literature research and case study methods,we extensively collect primary data and conduct a detailed investigation into the construction process, functional design, and successful experiences of JDCat.To effectively address the challenges confronted by China's humanities and social sciences research data management, emphasis should be placed on establishing a nationally recognized data management platform.Implementation of an open and standardized data management and sharing system, along with the active establishment of an international research cooperation mechanism,is crucial for promoting cross-disciplinary and cross-border collaboration.Furthermore, ensuring sustained financial support and advancing multilingual processing are essential to augment China's international standing and competitiveness in the realm of social sciences research.
