Characteristics,key Areas and future prospects of domestic wellness tourism research
Wellness tourism,an emergent business paradigm,amalgamates the expansion of tourism with China's burgeoning health industry.This integration is pivotal in realizing the vision of a 'Healthy China'and enhancing the general health level of the public.This study is anchored in an analysis of 207 journal articles on wellness tourism,sourced from China's CNKI and Wanfang databases between 2016 and 2023.Employing knowledge graph analysis and CiteSpace 6.2.6R software,the study generates knowledge graphs of authors,research institutions,and key words to dissect the overarching characteristics of domestic wellness tourism research.Further,by systematically reviewing literature on wellness tourists,the wellness tourism industry,and wellness tourism destinations,it delineates the key research areas within the field.Concluding with future research directions,this study aims to significantly contribute to the in-depth exploration of the wellness tourism.
