Analysis on the characteristics and influences of the East Asian countries'(regions)which embed the Dual Value Chain Under the RCEP pact
In recent years, the acceleration of anti-globalization has led the diverse variation of East Asian countries'Global Value Chain participation. The path for East Asian countries(regions)to embed in GVC has changed significantly. This paper uses ADB-MRIO database from 2010 to 2017 to analyze how East Asian countries embed the Global Value Chain and East Asian Value Chain. After the empirical studies, this paper has found several results:①Embedding in East Asian Regional Value Chains can significantly enhance East Asian countries'position in GVC.②Anti-globalization has different effects on east Asian's sectors.Capital-intensive suffers severely by anti-globalization and labor-intensive sectors are mildly affected while service sectors are unaffected.③The"Low-end Locking"effect is significant in East Asia countries.Except for China,Japan and South Korea, the higher value-added productivity East Asian countries'sector has,the lower GVC position the East Asian countries'sector locates at.In order to overcome the challenges brought by anti-globalization,East Asian countries(regions)should pay more attention to the construction of East Asian Market and choose a proper path to embed the Global Value Chain based on the external environment.
