Research on board organization model of world-class enterprises:A case study of the CHN energy
Accelerating the establishment of world-class enterprises is a significant deployment made by the CPC Central Committee for the reform and development of state-owned enterprises.Faced with the urgent demand for modernization of governance systems and governance capabilities,Chinese central state-owned enterprises urgently need to establish a strategic board organization model adaptable to the latest stage of improvement.Taking CHN Energy as an example,this article elaborates on the practices in the standardized construction and effective operation of the board,forming a governance experience in board organization that is available for reference and promotion,thus setting up a model that supports enterprises in becoming world-class.World-class strategic boards should realize three major development directions:innovation,greenness and value creation,enhancing five core competencies in forward-looking strategy,scientific decision-making,risk prevention and control,innovation promotion and green governance,thereby forming an organizational structure with the embedding of focusing on the core strategic governance functions of the board as the cornerstone.
