MONTE CARLO SIMULATION OF POWER AND SPEED DISTRIBUTION OF ROAD CYCLISTS
In recent years, the road cycling race has attracted a lot of attention. How to make athletes get better results in the race has become the goal of many studies. In order to provide a power distribution plan for cyclists in the competition,we establish the power curve model of road cyclists firstly, then analyze and compare the characteristics of different cyclists.By analyzing the dynamic model of the racer in different sections, the time and speed changes with power of the athlete through specific sections can be obtained through this model. We use Monte Carlo method to get the optimal power and speed distribution curves of different racers in different sections, and apply the model to 2021 UCI World Road Cycling Champion-ships to get the distribution of specific power and speed curves of different types of athletes over the distance.Through this model,we know that racing cyclists can get the best results by trying to maintain a uniform speed during the race and accelerating at the sections they are good at.Finally,we analyze the stability of the results obtained by this method.
