CONSTRUCTION OF PHYSICS CURRICULUM SYSTEM AIMED AT CULTIVATING THE SCIENTIFIC LITERACY OF UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS IN THE HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES
In order to cultivate young talents with scientific literacy and innovative abilities,it is particularly crucial to establish a general physics course system tailored for undergraduate students. In the process of promoting educational and classroom reforms, the Physics Depart-ment of Renmin University of China has recently constructed a physics general education cur-riculum system for undergraduate students majoring in non-STEM(Science,Technology,En-gineering,and Mathematics). This system aims to enhance students'scientific literacy and in-novative abilities, specifically covering areas such as physical theory, experimental physics, and frontier technology. It mainly including courses such as"Conceptual Physics","General Education and Exploratory Experiments in Humanities Physics",and"Nobel Prize in Physics and Modern Physics".This paper introduces the top-level design ideas, key measures such as teaching content selection and classroom organization form in the construction of the system.Through a series of research and practice, the system has achieved remarkable results.Students have not only mastered the basic knowledge of physics through systematic learning, but also improved their scientific thinking abilities and innovative spirit. We will continue to carry out research on teaching reform in the future, constantly optimize the curriculum con-tent,and provide support for cultivating innovative talents and improving undergraduate sci-entific literacy.
