Based on the panel data of 31 provinces in China from 2012 to 2022,this paper analyzes the impact of digital logistics on the development of manufacturing agglomeration and its mechanism effect.It adopts principal component analysis to measure digital logistics,uses location quotient to calculate manufacturing agglomeration,and empirically tests the impact of digital logistics on manufacturing agglomeration using the fixed-effects model.The study shows:digital logistics has a significant effect on manufacturing agglomeration,and the effect is more significant in the eastern region and the regions with higher degree of development of digital logistics;the mechanism analysis finds that the level of labor agglomeration and labor innovation ability are important paths for digital logistics to promote manufacturing agglomeration,while labor mobility is a path that inhibit manufacturing agglomeration.Therefore,this paper argues that it is necessary to deepen the integration of digital logistics and manufacturing industry,to promote the orderly development of human capital and to promote the coordinated development of the region based on the regional heterogeneity of digital logistics.
