Study on Strategy of Extended Warranty Service in Supply Chain for Vehicle Manufacturer:Based on the Comparison between the New Energy Vehicle Brand BYD and Tesla
Extended warranty service is an important source of profit for new energy vehicle manufacturers and distributors,and it is also necessary to study the supply chain operation mode of extended warranty service.Firstly,we select representative vehicle brand in the market and analyze the traditional fuel vehicle extended warranty service model and the new energy vehicle extended warranty service model separately;secondly,we analyze the characteristics of the operation mode of the extended warranty service supply chain for new energy vehicle from three aspects:the participants in the extended warranty service,the structure of the extended warranty service supply chain,and the extended warranty service process;thirdly,we take representative new energy vehicle brand BYD and Tesla as examples,a comparative analysis is conducted on their extended warranty service supply chain operation models;finally,the inspiration for the operation and management of the new energy vehicle extended warranty service supply chain is formed,which provides reference for enterprises in formulating extended warranty service strategies and supply chain operation management from three aspects:adopting a combination of customized and third-party cooperation for extended warranty provision;establishing an extended warranty service supply chain operation system with multi-party participation subject cooperation;improving the operation process of online and offline extended warranty service.
