Objective:To tentatively verify the process for further extracting the polysaccharides from flower residue of Dendranthema morifolium Tzvel. (DMP,treated previously with ethanol) with cellulase degradation technique and assay the antioxidant activities of DMP.Methods:The influential factors affecting the recovery rate in extracting polysaccharides were determined regarding the pH value, temperature at enzymolysis, enzyme dosage and extraction time. Results:By orthogonal test analysis, the results showed that the optimal conditions were involved in pH value by 5.5,temperature at 60 ℃,enzyme dosage in 20 U/g and extraction time for 100 min in a typical full extracting process, which led to recovery rate of 13.89%.Conclusion:The experimental findings show that DMP may facilitate stronger antioxidant activities based on measurement of the scavenging effect on DPPH and superoxide anion free radical.
