Effects of emotional creativity on quality of life in patients with multiple myeloma:A chain multiple mediating effects on cognitive emotion regulation and positivity level
Objective:To analyze the chain-based multiple mediation effects of cognitive emotion regulation and positive level on the quality of life in multiple myeloma(MM)patient. Methods:A total of 218 patients with MM treated in our hospital were included as study subjects, and undergone the survey using Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire(CEEQ-C,Chinese version),Patient Activation Measure(PAM)scale,Emotional Creativity Scale(ECI)and Spitzer Quality of Life Index. Results:The scores were(4.12±0.75)points for quality of life,(57.24±9.66)points for emotional creativity,and(95.52±12.57)points for cognitive emotion regulation in the 218 MM patients. The scoring on adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies, the non-adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategy and the positivity level were(55.24±7.46),(40.28±6.48)and(51.35±8.47)points,respectively.The quality of life and emotional creativity, adaptive cognitive emotion regulation and level of motivation were in positive correlation(all P<0.05).The chain multiple mediating effect of emotional creativity on quality of life in MM patients was established, and the total indirect effect accounted for 43.04%of the total effect,in which adaptive cognitive emotion in the specific mediating effect on regulation, positivity and adaptive cognitive emotion regulation-positivity accounted for 18.29%,18.07%and 6.68%,respectively.Conclusion:The chain multiple mediation of cognitive emotion regulation and positivity between emotional creativity and quality of life is established, which confirms that emotional creativity can affect quality of life by regulating cognitive emotion and positivity levels.
