Modified jailed balloon technique for coronary artery bifurcation lesions
Objective:To evaluate the protective effect of modified jailed balloon technique(M-JBT)on the coronary artery bifurcation lesions. Methods:Clinical data were reviewed in the patients with coronary artery bifurcation lesions treated by percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)in our hospital between February 2020 and February 2022.According to previous reports, the incidences of side branch(SB)occlusion after main branch(MB)stenting ranged from 4.4%to 17.31%.Therefore,minimum incidence of 4.4%in these literatures was considered as the reference incidence to compare SB occlusion rate with M-JBT.Data were collected and analyzed by using R and EZR software. Results:in total,226 patients underwent PCI using M-JBT.No occlusion of side branch occurred, which suggested that M-JBT had obvious advantages.Conclusion:M-JBT is safe and effective in the preservation of SB patency during bifurcation stenting.
