Correlation between social alienation,stigma and social support in colorectal cancer patients with permanent stoma
Objective:To investigate the current status of and factors affecting social detachment in colorectal cancer patients with permanent stoma,and analyze the correlation between social support,stigma and social alimentation.Methods:240 colorectal cancer patients with permanent stoma were included,and undergone questionnaire survey using general information scale,Social Impact Scale,Social Support Rating Scale and General Alienation Scale.Results:The scores were(46.52±6.34),(37.64±5.72)and(68.29±8.34)points,respectively on social alienation,social support and stigma for the patients with permanent colostomy,and the patients'social alienation was negatively correlated with social support,yet positively with stigma(P<0.05).The scoring on social alienation was higher in males,patients aged 18-44 years,those with poor family income,obvious symptoms,depressed mood,lower social support and higher stigma(P<0.05).Conclusion:Clinical medical staff are supposed to pay more attention to the factors affecting social alienation,and take targeted measures to reduce the detachment in colorectal cancer patients with permanent stoma.
