Design simulation and experimental analysis on eddy current detection array probe of armored vehicle inducing wheel
The reinforcement ribs of the induction wheels of armored vehicles are prone to surface cracks during service operation, which can pose significant risks to the safety of the vehicle during service. This paper used CIVA simulation software to simulate the effect of point probe tilt on eddy current density.Based on practical application scenarios,an eddy current array detection probe was designed to explore the effects of excitation frequency and lift off on eddy current signals. The experiment and simulation were compared with point probes, and verified on a painted induction wheel. The optimal parameters of the rectangular coil were ultimately determined, and in the actual detection process, the designed eddy current array probe increased the average signal amplitude by 30%and the detection efficiency by 85%compared to the point probe.
