Edge effect suppression in turbine blade eddy current detection based on multi-frequency technology
Turbine blades are an important component of aero engines, and their quality inspection is of great significance. In the process of eddy current detection of turbine blades,it is found that when scanning the edge of a blade with a single-frequency eddy current probe, the detection coil is susceptible to the signal interference of edge effect, and the defect signal of the edge of the blade may be drowned in the interference signal,so the signal interference of edge effect must be eliminated to ensure the quality of detection. In this paper,a method was proposed to suppress the interference signal of edge effect in the detection process of turbine blades by multi-frequency eddy current technology. The experimental results showed that the multi-frequency eddy current detection technology can effectively suppress the interference of edge effect, improve the accuracy of turbine blade detection, and reduce the missed detection rate.
