Enhancing effect of lead foil sensitizing screen in radiographic testing of titanium alloy additive products
In order to clarify the requirements of current standards for the use of titanium alloy product intensifying screens, different conditions of radiographic testing were carried out on titanium alloy additive manufacturing step test blocks.By changing the voltage of the transmission tube, using single intensifying screens, double intensifying screens,or not using intensifying screens, the blackness of the film under different intensifying conditions was obtained. The results show that when the tube voltage is less than or equal to 80 kV,the front and rear screens can be omitted. If the backscattering is strong, the rear screen can be used or a lead plate can be added behind the dark bag to absorb the backscattering; When the tube voltage is greater than 80 kV and less than or equal to 100 kV,the front screen may not be used and consideration should be given to using the rear screen; When the tube voltage is greater than or equal to 100 kV,use the front and rear screen sensitization method.
