Study on countermeasures of comparison and improvement of quality of life of elderly patients with five common chronic diseases
Objective To understand the quality of life of elderly patients with chronic diseases and its influencing factors,as well as to provide the reference for improving their quality of life.Methods The second edition of the Quality of Life Instruments for Chronic Diseases—General Module(QLICD-GM,V2.0)was used to collected the data of quality of life and related factors of 632 elderly patients with chronic diseases from January 2010 to October 2017 in three hospitals in Guangdong Province.The average scores of patients with different chronic diseases were compared by analysis of variance(ANOVA),and influencing factors of quality of life were analyzed by multiple linear regression.Results Among the three major domains of quality of life of elderly patients with chronic diseases,the average score in the field of social function was the highest(68.59±16.55),followed by the field of physiological function(59.40±16.89),and the field of psychological function was the lowest(53.49±17.66).Among the patients with different chronic diseases,the scores of quality of life in patients with hypertension were the highest,and those with pulmonary heart disease were the lowest.The quality of life was mainly influenced by factors such as age,treatment methods and family economy.Conclusions The quality of life of elderly patients with chronic diseases is not optimistic.It is necessary to carry out preventive strategies and implement relevant interventions according to factors such as types of health insurance,treatment methods and family economy for elderly patients,in order to improve the quality of life of elderly patients with chronic diseases.
