During magnetic particle inspection of a certain oil separator component,abnormal magnetic traces are often seen on the surface of the QT700-2 material(nodular cast iron)of the oil separator disc,which resemble real cracks and seriously interfere with the judgment of the inspection personnel.By analy-zing the microstructure and microhardness of the magnetic trace display area on the ductile iron part,the nature and cause of the magnetic trace display were determined.For materials that often show non-relevant displays,this paper provides a reasonable explanation and judgment method,which can provide a reference for the subsequent non-destructive testing results judgment of similar materials.
