Lymphocytes play a pivotal role in antitumor and anti-infection responses, making the exploration of their function-al regulation mechanisms a critical area of research.Ferroptosis is a novel mode of cell death that principally operates through lipid peroxidation, disrupting cell membranes and ultimately leading to cell lysis and death.Ferroptosis plays a key role in various cellular metabolisms, including the immune responses of lymphocytes.Investigating the role of ferroptosis in the immune reactions of lymphocytes not only deepens our understanding of the growth and development of lymphocytes but also aids in identifying more effective antitumor and anti-infection strategies. This article provides an overview of the molec-ular mechanisms of ferroptosis and its impact on the immune functions of T,B,and NK cells.
