Objective To investigate the status of undergraduate nursing interns'post competency and analyze its influencing fac-tors,so as to provide reference for innovating teaching methods and improving undergraduate nursing interns'post competency in the future. Methods A cross-sectional survey was conducted on nursing undergraduates who interned at a Grade-A hospital in Yunnan Province, and single factor analysis and multiple linear regression analysis were conducted on the influencing factors of nursing stu-dents'post competency. Results The independent influencing factors of post competency for undergraduate nursing interns were the type(undergraduate/upgrade version),whether they had heard of post competency before this survey, and whether they served as class committee members during learning in school, which could explain a 19.3%variability in post competency. Conclusion The under-graduate nursing interns'competency is at a moderate level, and their critical thinking ability is insufficient.Clinical nursing ability and career development ability need to be improved urgently.Nursing educators need to pay attention to the status and influencing factors of undergraduate nursing interns'competency, and further explore teaching methods suitable for cultivating undergraduate nursing interns'competency,so as to enhance their post competency.
