Objective To investigate the status of motivation among nursing students to participate in volunteer services and analyze the influencing factors.Methods A total of 912 nursing students from a certain university were surveyed with General Information Survey Forms,Collegian Volunteer Action Participation Motivation Survey Forms,Professional Identity Scale,and Academic Self-ef-ficacy Scale.SPSS 26.0 software was used for data analysis.Results The score of Collegian Volunteer Action Participation Motivation Survey Forms among nursing students was(155.12±24.08)score,which was at a medium to high level.Political status,grade level,whether they joined volunteer service organizations,academic self-efficacy,and professional identity were the influencing factors of nursing students'motivation for volunteer service(P<0.05).Conclusion The motivation for participating in volunteer service for n-ursing students is at a medium to high level.Nursing teachers can guide nursing students to enhance their professional identity and improve their academic self-efficacy,forming a positive attitude and thereby increasing their motivation to participate in volunteer service.
