Impact of the Pediatric Assessment Triangle on PICU Nurses'Foresight Thinking and Resuscitation Collaboration Skills
Objective To investigate the impact of applying the pediatric assessment triangle(PAT)on the PICU nurses'foresight thinking and resuscitation collaboration skills in the resuscitation care of critically ill children. Methods 33 clinical nurses in the PICU were enrolled in the study, and the control period from January to June 2023 was used to implement the routine medical rescue assessment, and the intervention period from July to December 2023 was used to implement the rescue concept based on the Pediatric Assessment Triangle(PAT),and the implementation time, critical thinking ability, and rescue effect of the PAT were compared. We compared the implementation time, critical thinking ability and resuscitation effect of the resuscitation assessment process of clinical critical care nurses. Results The average time taken by the intervention nurses to assess the condition was(4.93±1.20)min,which was significantly shorter than that of the control period(7.20±0.82)min,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Af-ter the intervention, the scores of health care personnel in the early identification of critically ill children, the ability to assess the change of condition, the ability to analyze and judge correctly with foresight, and the ability to cooperate with the resuscitation were all improved, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion In the process of PICU rescue assessment, based on the pediatric assessment triangle,it can effectively shorten the implementation time of the assessment process, improve the efficiency of the assessment, and is conducive to the training of nurses'foresight thinking and improve their ability to resuscitation collaboration skills, and is worthy of being promoted and used in the clinic.
