Application of PBL Joint Scenario Simulation Exercise Teaching Model in the Training of Palliative Care Practitioners
Objective To investigate the effectiveness of problem-based learning(PBL)combined with scenario simulation exercis-es teaching model in the training of palliative care practitioners. Methods Selected practitioners who participated in palliative care training at our hospital from May 2019 to November 2023,and used purposive grouping method to divide them into intervention group and control group, with 28 participants in each group. The control group received LBL(lecture based)teaching model, while the in tervention group received LBL+PBL+scenario simulation exercise teaching model.Compared the theoretical and practical operation exam scores of the two groups and evaluate the teaching effect. Results After the training, both groups of personnel showed an im-provement in their theoretical and practical operation exam scores, and the intervention group had significantly higher exam scores than the control group(P<0.05).There was a statistically significant difference(P<0.05)in the scores of the Training Satisfaction Survey between the two groups, with the intervention group scoring significantly higher than the control group. Conclusion The ap-plication of PBL combined with scenario simulation exercises teaching model in the training of palliative care practitioners can im-prove their operational skills and satisfaction, and is worth promoting.
