Comparative Study on Rehabilitation Effects of Two Types of Prosthetic Receiving Cavities for Unilateral Thigh Amputees
Objective To compare the differences in gait and satisfaction between unilateral thigh amputees with thigh prosthesis MAS receiving cavity and quadrilateral receiving cavity, and provide guidance for clinical adaptation of thigh prosthesis selection of receiving cavity ring. Methods Ten cases of thigh amputees were selected as the research subjects, and were respectively adapted to the thigh prosthesis MAS receiving cavity and the quadrilateral receiving cavity.Gait parameters were collected with the G-WALK three-dimensional gait analyzer, and satisfaction surveys were conducted with the Trinity Amputation and Prosthetic Experience Scale. Results After wearing the MAS receiving cavity and quadrilateral receiving cavity for thigh prostheses and undergoing reha-bilitation training, there was a statistically significant difference(P<0.05)in gait after 2 weeks of double support phase, and a statisti-cally significant difference(P<0.05)in gait after 6 weeks of single support phase, double support phase, swing phase, and gait cycle.Compared with the quadrilateral receiving cavity, the MAS receiving cavity showed fewer functional impairments and higher satisfac-tion(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of MAS receiving cavity in thigh prostheses significantly improves walking ability and satisfac-tion of subjects, with fewer functional impairments.MAS receiving cavity has good promotion and application value in thigh prosthesis adaptation.
