Investigation and Analysis on the Completion Ability Status of Nursing Students of Higher Vocational Education Interning in County-level Hospitals
Objective To investigate the status of the completion ability of nursing students of higher vocational education interning in county-level hospitals,and analyze the influencing factors of their completion ability,so as to provide guidance for nursing educators and managers in higher vocational colleges to formulate training programs for nursing interns.Methods A General Information Survey and a Nursing Students'Completion Ability Survey Scale were used to investigate the completion ability of 143 nursing interns of higher vocational education in county-level hospitals.Results The total score of the completion ability of 143 nursing interns of higher vocational education of county-level hospitals was(161.14±46.37)score.The highest average score for each item is in the dimension of stress management ability(6.23±2.17)score,while the lowest average score is in the dimension of integrated nursing ability(5.69±1.72)score.The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that the main influencing factors on nursing interns'completion ability were whether they were student cadres or not,whether they had interned or apprenticed in hospitals or not,their level of engaged for nursing,whether they had been exposed to nurse-patient communication courses or training or not,and whether they had been exposed to humanistic care ability courses or training or not(P<0.05).Conclusion The completion ability of nursing interns of higher vocational education in county-level hospitals needs further improvement,especially in integrated nursing ability.Nursing educators should increase the likability of nursing students for nursing work,provide them with more opportunities for exercise,and offer relevant training courses such as nurse-patient communication and humanistic care.At the same time,nursing managers should formulate systematic and targeted training programs for nursing students to enhance their ability to complete tasks and lay the foundation for better adaptation to clinical nursing.
