Investigation and Analysis on Freshman's Willingness to Learn and On-site Implement Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
Objective To provide a scientific basis for conducting cardiopulmonary resuscitation training for collegians, including the willingness to learn and implement cardiopulmonary resuscitation among freshmen in Xuzhou city,as well as the influencing fac-tors.Methods A stratified cluster random sampling method was used to select 9 887 freshmen from three universities in Xuzhou city.A questionnaire survey was conducted on their willingness to learn and implement cardiopulmonary resuscitation on-site.Resu-ts 99.1%of freshmen are willing to learn about cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR),and the preferred training methods are simul-ated exercises and face-to-face teaching.76.8%of students are willing to undergo cardiopulmonary resuscitation on-site.Multi factor analysis shows that freshmen who are willing to implement cardiopulmonary resuscitation and have a good self-evaluation of their quality of life have a stronger willingness to learn about cardiopulmonary resuscitation.Freshmen who are willing to learn about car-diopulmonary resuscitation, have experienced accidents, and are from medical colleges have a stronger willingness to implement car-diopulmonary resuscitation on-site.Conclusion Freshmen have a strong willingness to learn cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR)and are also willing to perform CPR on-site for patients with sudden cardiac arrest.Cardiopulmonary resuscitation training should be included in the safety education of collegians, promoting the popularization of cardiopulmonary resuscitation education among colle-gians,improving their cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills, and enhancing their emergency rescue capabilities.
