Research on the Relationship between the Elderly Perspective of Vocational Nursing Students and Their Willingness to Serve the Elderly
Objective To learn the relationship between the elderly perspective(including impressions of the elderly and views on the role of the elderly in their families)and the willingness to serve the elderly among nursing students in vocational colleges(here-inafter referred to as nursing students).Methods Convenience sampling method was used to conduct a questionnaire survey on nursing students in a vocational college in Weinan City.Results The total score of the Elderly Perspective Scale in the elderly im-pression for vocational nursing students was(56.79±8.08)score,and the total score of the opinion scale on the role of elderly famil-ies was(55.38±18.17)score;The total score of the Willingness to Serve Elderly Scale is(62.04±12.26)score.The scores of the th-ree scales vary among different demographic data,and there is a varying degree of positive correlation between the willingness of vo-cational nursing students to serve the elderly and various dimensions of elderly attitudes.Conclusion The scores of the Elderly Per-spective Scale and the Willingness to Serve Elderly Scale for vocational nursing students are both at a moderate level.Guiding nursing students to establish a positive impression of the elderly and a correct learning of the role of the elderly in their families can help en-hance their willingness to serve the elderly.
