Research on the Practice of Improving the Quality of Nursing Undergraduates'Thesis Based on Process Management Theory
Objective To conduct a mixed study combining quantitative and qualitative methods,aiming to provide reference for improving the quality of nursing undergraduates'thesis.Methods The quantitative research part adopts a before-after control experimental method to provide training on thesis writing methods for Grade 2022 nursing undergraduates,and to provide training on the use of the thesis quality management system,topic selection methods,and thesis writing format for Grade 2023 nursing undergraduates on this basis.The qualitative research part adopts a semi-structured interview method to collect the feelings,suggestions and opinions of thesis mentors of Grade 2023 nursing undergraduates'and Grade 2023 nursing undergraduates'thesis and the quality management of their thesis.Results In the quantitative research part,there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05)in the thesis scores and satisfaction with the quality of the thesis between Grade 2022 and 2023 nursing undergraduates.The standardization of thesis writing format and satisfaction with thesis quality management during Grade 2023 nursing undergraduates'graduation defense were higher than those of Grade 2022(P<0.05).In the qualitative research part,the Grade 2023 nursing undergraduates'thesis mentors and the Grade 2023 nursing undergraduates pointed out a series of problems in the current quality management of thesis,and put forward the following suggestions:in terms of mentors,the thesis quality manager need to pay attention to the feasibility of topic selection,carry out thesis related training in advance,simplify the quality college management process of thesis and improve work efficiency.For nursing undergraduates,it is recommended that colleges carry out thesis matters in advance to avoid overlapping with employing interviews for graduates,emphasize the establishment of medical literature retrieval and nursing research courses.Conclusion A series of training on nursing research topic selection,thesis format,and writing guidance for nursing undergraduates can effectively improve the standardization of their thesis format,which should be continued in the subse-quent quality management of thesis.The quality of nursing undergraduates'thesis is influenced by multiple factors such as thesis quality managers,mentors,and nursing undergraduates.Quality improvement is a long-term project that requires continuous efforts from all parties.
