Study on the Effect of Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction on Sleep Quality of Maintenance Hemodialysis Patients Based on Internet
Objective To explore the effect of mindfulness-based stress reduction(MBSR)on sleep quality and mindfulness awareness in maintenance hemodialysis(MHD)patients based on internet. Methods 84 patients undergoing MHD treatment were selected from the hemodialysis room of a comprehensive hospital in Xiangtan City as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into experimental group and control group, with 42 patients in each group. The control group received routine nursing measures in the hemodialysis room of hospital, while the experimental group received routine nursing+mindfulness-based stress reduction based on internet. Before and after intervention, the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)and Mindfulness Attention and Awareness Scale(MAAS)were used to compare and analyze the sleep quality and mindfulness level of the two groups of patients. Results After intervention, the MAAS score of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group and before intervention in this group(P<0.05).The total PSQI score and the scores of six dimensions including sleep quality, falling asleep time, sleep duration, sleep efficiency, sleep disorders, and daytime dysfunction were significantly lower than those in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Internet based MBSR can improve the sleep quality of patients undergoing MHD,improve the level of mindfulness and attention awareness of MHD patients, and play a positive role in relieving the physical and mental pressure of patients and improving their mood.
