Research on the Career Development Status of Service Personnel in Elderly Care Institutions in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region
Objective To learn the status of career development of service personnel in elderly care institutions in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,and provide reference for stabilizing the personnel team of elderly care services and improving the quality of elderly care services.Methods A self-designed questionnaire was used to select 76 service personnels from 24 elderly care institutions in the entire district,to investigate their career development status and analyze influencing factors.Results Major and years of experience in work were the influencing factors of work stress for elderly care institution service personnel(P<0.05).Work stress was negatively correlated with career promotion confidence and expected conformity of career(r=-0.244,P<0.05;r=-0.305,P<0.01).Major and years of experience in work are influencing factors on the career promotion confidence of service personnel in elderly care institutions(P<0.05),and there is a positive correlation between career promotion confidence and expected conformity of career(r=0.231,P<0.05).The average monthly income is influencing factors of the expected conformity of career of service personnel in elderly care institutions(P<0.05),and there is a positive correlation between expected conformity of career and career identity(r=0.592,P<0.01).Conclusion Service personnel in elderly care institutions face high work pressure and lack confidence in career promotion.We should increase government support,improve welfare benefits and social status,open up promotion channels,strengthen psychological counseling and support,and promote the sustainable development of the health and elderly care industry in the entire region.
