The development strategy of the Yangtze River Economic Belt is a major national strategy.The empirical study made from the perspective of the coupled development of strategic emerging industries and regional economy shows that,in the context of soaring development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt,Anhui Province,as a part of the Yangtze River E-conomic Belt,has enjoyed the dividends of strategic development in recent years with great progress,but there are still shortcomings in terms of development quality and speed.It is suggested that all cities in this region should fully leverage their comparative advantages and develop advantageous industries,especially strategic emerging ones;the government should provide more policy support and actively attract funding,talent and technology,so as to promote the development of regional economy and further that of the Yangtze River Economic Belt as a whole.
