Empirical Analysis on Digital Economy,Ecological Transformation of Industrial Structure,and High-quality Consumption:Based on the Related Data from 29 Provinces,Municipalities and Autonomous Regions
The results from empirical analysis on panel data from 29 provinces and cities from 2014 to 2022,show that digital economy has a direct driving effect on high-quality consumption,and indirectly promotes it through the ecological transfor-mation of industrial structure.The impact of digital economy on high-quality consumption is shown as a dual-threshold effect with green finance as the threshold,as well as a significant positive spillover effect.By contrast,the development of digital economy in the eastern,central,and western regions has promoted high-quality consumption in their respective areas,but this impact in the northeast region is not significant.Digital economy plays a stronger role in promoting high-quality con-sumption during the accelerated development stage.Digital infrastructure,digital industry development,and digital environ-ment improvement will all effectively promote high-quality consumption in the region,among them the last one plays a more prominent role.
