The text of Memorial Tablet for Yang Jing'ou was written in 1642,the fifteenth year of Chongzhen by Wang Duo,a great calligrapher during the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty,which recorded the date,reason and scale of the shrine built by the people of Baixiang Town,as well as the whole process of writing text on this monument.Its content is helpful on study the social politics,economy,military,culture and education of the late Ming.More importantly,it is a work of Wang Duo at his golden age so that the handwriting is arranged decently with freely brush stroke and rigid power,which has great value on art of calligraphy history.
