Underwater Image Enhancement Algorithm Based on Color Equalization and Multi-weight Fusion
To solve the problems such as severe color cast, insufficient contrast, saturation and color richness of underwater images,an underwater image enhancement algorithm based on color equalization and multi-weight fusion is proposed.Firstly, the Dark Channel Prior(DCP)algorithm is used to perform the underwater image deblurring pre-processing and then the automatic white balance algorithm based on dynamic threshold is used to correct the color cast, and then multi-weight fusion is performed on the processed image. The fusion processing is mainly based on the weight calculation of two images, namely the contrast-enhanced image based on gamma correction and the edge-enhanced image based on histogram equalization, and then the saliency weight and saturation weight of the two maps are calculated respectively, and finally the enhanced image is obtained by linear fusion of the weights calculated by the two maps. The results show that the proposed algorithm has a good effect on the overall sharpness recovery of underwater images, and the contrast and image color detail performance are greatly improved.Compared with other mainstream algorithms,Underwater Color Image Quality Evaluation(UCIQE)indicators and Underwater Image Quality Measurement(UIQM)indicators have a significant improvement effect, and the average parameter indicators are improved by 22.3%and 10.2%,respectively.
