A Dual-circularly-polarized Tensor Holographic Metasurface for Near-field Imaging
Near-field beam shaping can be applied to near-field communication, wireless power transfer,etc.Near-field imaging antennas employing holographic metasurface have the advantages of low profile and flexible beam manipulation, not requiring a feeding network.Theoretical derivation, simulation analysis, and prototype validation of near-field imaging performance are carried out to both scalar and tensor holographic metasurfaces.Using tensor holographic metasurface,a near-field imaging antenna with an integrated planar feed is designed and fabricated.Good agreements are achieved between the simulated and measured results, validating that the metasurface is capable of near-field imaging using both left-and right-handed circular polarization.
