Review of Dielectric Parameter Measurements of Apollo Lunar Samples
Dielectric constant is an important parameter for measuring the dielectric properties of the Moon. The dielectric parameter of the Moon can be used to invert important physical parameters such as the thickness and density of lunar regolith, which is helpful for studying the geological structure and evolution history of the Moon. The main methods for obtaining the dielectric parameter of lunar surface include radar remote sensing,in-situ detection, and lunar sample measurement, among which lunar sample measurement is the most direct and effective one.Apollo missions have obtained a total of about 381 kg of lunar samples. The measurement methods for dielectric parameters of Apollo lunar samples are summarizes, and the test results are analyzed. The test results indicate that factors such as frequency, temperature, humidity, density, and oxides can affect the measurement of dielectric parameters, which should be considered in subsequent sample dielectric tests.
