Design of a High Isolation Notched UWB-MIMO Antenna
In order to meet the increasingly diverse communication needs,a high isolation Ultra Wide Band(UWB)Multiple Input Multiple Output(MIMO)antenna with notch characteristics is proposed.Using microstrip antennas as the basic model, the miniaturization of antenna units is achieved based on the symmetrical half cut method. The filtering characteristics are achieved by slotting at the current concentration on the radiation unit. The coupling energy between MIMO antenna elements is effectively decreased by combining T-shaped branches loaded on the floor with pattern diversity technology.Based on the simulation results,an antenna prototype is processed and tested. The designed antenna working bandwidth covers 3.1~10.6 GHz,and the impedance bandwidth covers the notched frequency band of 5.0~5.9 GHz.The gain decreases significantly in this frequency band. The isolation between antenna elements in the passband frequency band is greater than 20 dBi,and the Envelope Correlation Coefficient(ECC)is less than 0.05.The simulation results of the directional pattern are in good agreement with the test results. The results show that the proposed antenna has compact structure and good electrical performance, which provides a feasible design scheme for UWB filtering communication system.
