Practice Research on Unpunctual Outpatient Treatment Appointment Based on Stochastic Programming Model
Currently, many outpatient treatment appointment arrangements assume that patients arrive on time. However, not being on time is a random factor that causes some patients to be unable to replace wound dressings in a timely manner, leading to sustained inflammation of the patient's wound. Therefore,a stochastic programming model is established to solve the outpa-tient treatment appointment scheduling problem(OS-U)considering non punctuality.Further comparison is made between the performance of the OS-U system and the strictly on time(OS-P)system.The OS-U problem is solved by Benders decomposi-tion combined with sample average approximation(BD-SAA)technology.The experimental results indicate that when consid-ering non punctuality, the appointment rules will change. The OS-P system arranges the first two patients together at the be-ginning of a treatment course, while the OS-U system arranges them at different appointment times. The OS-U system can ef-fectively reduce Type Ⅰ and Type Ⅱ errors. The research results can provide a reference basis for the practice of delayed outpa-tient appointments.
