Design of 3D Virtual Restoration Software System of Paleontology Based on VR All-in-one Machine
The restoration of paleontological fossils is of great significance for the study of paleontology, paleogeography and pa-leoclimate.But there are many problems, such as difficulty in making physical models and high process cost.Based on the VR all-in-one machine platform, this paper designs a 3D virtual restoration software system of paleontology using virtual reality technology, which restores the physical models by combining the modeling software 3DMax with ZBrush, develops a highly re-stored 3D space program based on the 3D engine Unity3D and SteamVR and creates an"immersive"virtual 3D operating envi-ronment that combines interactive object display and scene roaming control. The test results of the software system by HTCVIVE VR all-in-one show that the software runs smoothly with powerful generality, handy model import, and convenient interactive functions for secondary development and expansion.
