Single Phase Fault Location Method for Multi Branch Active Distribution Network Considering Multi Terminal Traveling Wave Time Difference
In an active distribution network,multiple branches interact with each other.Once a fault occurs,the fault signal may be affected by other branches,which causes aliasing of fault signal and makes difficult to accurately locate the fault point.To this end,a single phase fault location method for multi branch active distribution network considering multi terminal trave-ling wave time difference is proposed.Based on the topological stgructure model of multi branch active distribution network,fault query matrix is constructed for single branch and multi branches situations,and single phase fault lines are determined by analyzing the element changes in the fault query matrix.Using the principle of multi terminal traveling wave time difference,the actual fault distance is calculated based on the arrival time information at the end of the fault branch and the two ends of the main feeder,and the single phase fault location is determined.The experimental results show that this method has higher de-tection accuracy in single phase fault location in multi branch active distribution network,and the range of location error is sig-nificantly reduced,and can be controlled below 20 cm.
