面向存量终端的手机直连卫星技术现状及发展分析

目前,卫星互联网产业已经取得较大进展,移动智能终端支持卫星通信的发展路线已较为明确,2023-2024 年,以SpaceX为代表的国外多家卫星公司在面向存量终端实现手机直连卫星方面开展了系统建设和令人瞩目的试验成果。未来手机直连卫星的发展路线呈现出"百家争鸣"的现象。以Starlink的手机直连卫星技术为例,具体分析面向存量终端的手机直连卫星技术路线的优劣点,分析该技术路线在产业方面面临的问题,最终对是否适合开展面向存量终端的手机直连卫星技术建设提出分析结论,建议大力发展非地面网络(Non-Terrestrial Network,NTN)技术路线和基于现有卫星系统的拓展应用。
Status and Development Analysis of Satellite-direct-to-cell Technology for Existing Handsets
Currently,the satellite internet industry has made significant progress,and the development path for mobile intelligent terminals to support satellite communication is becoming clearer.From 2023 to 2024,multiple foreign satellite companies,represented by Starlink,have undertaken systematic construction and remarkable trial achievements in enabling direct satellite connections for existing terminals.The future development path of direct satellite connections for mobile phones is showing a phenomenon of"numerous schools of thought contend".This article takes Starlink's direct-to-cell technology for mobile phones as an example to specifically analyse the pros and cons of the technical route for direct satellite connections for existing terminals.It also examines the challenges faced by this technical route in the industry and ultimately provides an analytical conclusion on whether China is suitable for developing direct satel-lite connection technology for existing terminals.The recommendation is for China to vigorously develop Non-Terrestrial Network(NTN)technology routes and expand applications based on the existing satellite systems.
