Research and application of enhancement scheme for 5G network capacity
The paper investigates issues concerning insufficient uplink capacity, restricted uplink coverage, and increased uplink transmission delay in 5G networks. It proposes a solution using FDD-NR and TDD-NR carrier aggregation technology to enhance the performance of 5G networks. This approach primarily involves aggregating low-frequency FDD and high-frequency TDD carriers to leverage the coverage advantage of mid-to-low frequency bands and the high-bandwidth advantage of mid-to-high frequency bands, thereby improving both uplink and downlink capacity, coverage, and latency in 5G networks.Studies indicate that adopting various forms of carrier aggregation, significantly boosts uplink speed, coverage radius, and uplink resource utilization.Intelligent scheduling also enables base stations to flexibly choose different operational modes based on terminal capabilities, wireless conditions, and service performance requirements to maximize spectrum utilization.Validation tests demonstrate significant enhancements in uplink peak rates and edge coverage after implementing this solution, providing an effective remedy for improving the performance of 5G networks.
