Hypertension is the most common chronic disease in China,and it's a prominent risk factor for many ocular diseases.Studies have shown that hypertension plays an important role in the occurrence,development and outcome of many ocular diseases,such as ischemic optic neuropathy,glaucoma and cataract.Decreased retinal blood perfusion,microcirculation disturbance,oxidative stress and inflammation,endothelial injury and neovascu-larization are common pathological changes in the occurrence of related ocular diseases after hypertension.At pres-ent,the prevalence of hypertension in China is increasing year by year,and the eye diseases caused by it are also in-creasing.Therefore,this article reviews the relationship between hypertension and several related ocular diseases,in order to provide ideas for the prevention and treatment of hypertension related ocular diseases in clinic.
