Challenges and strategies for technical governance on online public opinion by local governments in the age of intelligence
This study aims to analyze the characteristics of online public opinion in the age of intelligence,the challenges faced by local governments in technological governance of online public opinion,and strategies for addressing these challenges.This is cruci-al for maintaining national ideological security and regime stability,as well as promoting social harmony and stable development.Through empirical research methods such as field surveys,literature reviews,and case studies of public opinion,this study employs both inductive and deductive approaches.It analyzes the characteristics of online public opinion after the intervention of artificial in-telligence technologies by focusing on the subjects,objects,and media of dissemination.Additionally,it examines the challenges faced by local governments in technological governance of online public opinion,considering the role of artificial intelligence tech-nologies throughout the entire process of monitoring and early warning.In the intelligent era,online public opinion exhibits charac-teristics such as"dehumanization"of the subject,diversification of the objects of public opinion,and accelerated dissemination of public opinion through intelligent algorithms.Currently,some local government departments responsible for public opinion govern-ance face several challenges under existing conditions,including inadequate handling capacity,low level of algorithmic intelligence in public opinion monitoring,lack of predictive and warning methods,and difficulties in cross-platform governance.The study pro-poses strategies to address these challenges,such as establishing an intelligent governance concept for online public opinion,con-structing an intelligent online public opinion monitoring and early warning system,and creating a multi-departmental linkage mecha-nism for handling online public opinion.
