How to Bridge the Digital Divide in Elderly Government Affairs? An Empirical Analysis from the Perspective of Social Capital Theory
Elderly people being involved in digital life is an important issue for achieving social justice. To address the barriers to entry, trust and control that exist when elderly people use digital government platforms,a theoretical model is constructed from the perspective of social capital to study the factors that affect elderly people's willingness to constantly use digital government platforms. The empirical analysis finds that the subjective norms and perceptual critical majority of the elderly,as well as the community interactive learning situation within the elderly population, have a significant positive impact on the social interaction relationships of the elderly population, with the three dimensions of social capital playing a mediating role. Thus,it is suggested to improve community interactive learning, enhance the value of using government apps, and build a virtual network society for the elderly.
