A high performance dual frequency energy selective surface
In this paper,we propose a high-performance dual-band energy selective surface(ESS)designed to protect electronic devices from high-power microwaves(HPM).The proposed structure comprises a metal periodic structure loaded with diodes. We derive the equivalent circuit of the de-signed ESS and provide an explanation of its working principle. We also present electromagnetic re-sponses of the ESS in two frequency bands under different incident conditions through simulations, including field path co-simulation to capture its nonlinear performance.CST simulation results dem-onstrate that the insertion loss of low-power signals is below 1 dB in the working frequency band(0.93 GHz-1.52 GHz,2.8 GHz-3.2 GHz),while the shielding effectiveness against high-power sig-nals exceeds 38 dB.
