A Miniaturized Low Coupling MIMO Antenna Based On Magnetic Materials
This paper presents a dual-frequency eight-element MIMO antenna with high isolation by loading floor branches. The antenna unit composed of a compact IFA antenna can generate good resonance at 2.60GHz and 3.55GHz respectively. In order to reduce the mutual coupling between the antenna units,a T type floor branch is introduced between the two antenna units. The proposed MIMO antenna achieves 20.8dB and 25dB isolation in two operating frequency bands. In addition,in order to realize the miniaturization of MIMO antenna array, magnetic materials are loaded on the floor segment substrate, and the high dielectric constant and high permeability of the magnetic mate-rials are used to achieve the miniaturization of the floor segment, while the spacing between the two antenna units is reduced in a large range. The simulation results show that high isolation can still be achieved in the two working bands of the MIMO antenna. Thus, the miniaturization of MIMO an-tenna arrays can be met.
